I should remind myself...
I was drawn to this blog by a friend of mine and this paragraph in particular:
"I don’t know what my problem is. I don’t hate men. If I cross that line now it would be based on what I’ve heard and not what I’ve experienced, and that’s a pretty short sighted way to live. I know this. I do find myself making sweeping generalizations about them, but a lot of that is due to making excuses for not dating and idly if not ignorantly repeating what I’ve heard other women in long-term relationships say. "

My best friend is 31 and as far as I know, is still a virgin and has never even had a boyfriend. She's just not interested. I'm finding that a lot of people are like that. I say her life is a lot less complicated than mine!
Interesting.... I wonder though, even if her life is less complicated, is she more happier because of it? I guess its that question is it better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all? hummmm.....
Mr. Underhill: On the other side of things I know of a gal who has slept with more men than she can count with all her fingers and toes and I think she is also messed up pretty bad....hummmmm?
Tough question. You can't miss something that you've never had, but the urges must still come and go.
Would anyone be willing to undo all of the love that they've had in order to return to the simplicity of not missing it? I couldn't.
M+ : I think you can long for something you never had - maybe not miss it? So maybe its like would you rather long for something you never had or miss something you did have...
Mr.Underhill: True I guess we look at things based on our own experiences. Both extremes.. or maybe the people we both met are just messed up by nature regardless of 2much sex or no sex at all hehe.
NO NO you were right ! it was "brought to my attention by " my friend... this blog link is not "authored by" this friend....
whoa didnt mean it that way you were right the first time
- my friend that showed me this blog is not a virgin but she is not the many fingers and toes gal either hehe.
hmmm...i really wonder who this friend of yours is....lmfaoooo whoever she is a bet she a cutie !!!!
P.S. I know that comment had no relation really to the post topic...but wtf I needed something to brighten my day before work!!!
I think that we can all accept that there are an infinite variety of paths to happiness in the world of love and romance. But, come on, a chick who is 30 and is still a virgin has got to be a nut job.
hey obesio why arent you posting anymore??!!You and your odd yet funny sense of humour!
I wouldnt say that! - sheesh ppl can be harsh!
How did we get on this topic anyhow? I posted her quote cause I like it. I tend to make sweeping generalizations about men but sometimes based on things around me not what I experienced.
But on to the topic you are all talking about: There are some pretty cool virgins out there that are almost 30 like Larissa http://thecountdownofv.blogspot.com
or the link I posted. And Im sure THB's friend is not a nutjob either.
Its sad how people shun virgins, who are virgins not by choice, from society like lepers yet the gal with too many fingers and toes is not as bad....check this out...

this took a crazy diversion from the actual post hehe.. maybe I should make a post about virgins all together ....
grr I dont know how to hyperlink on comments :p
I think I would prefer to long for something I've never had, rather than miss something that I have had. I think the longing is easier to curb than the missing because you know just what you're missing. The longing will always be something more abstract and intangible. But that's just me...
reminds me of an old saying-ignorance is bliss. Thus ignoring what you long for leads to self satisfaction,or is it self masturbation???lmao!!!People put to much hoopla into relatively minor misconceptions of ones self.Focus on the beauty of daily life,be one with nature so many ppl drift away into the vast sea of assumption.A teacher once told me "never assume-u make an ASS outa U and ME."
PMPL! Darcy! I think Benny Hill said that too :)
